Matatiele

Matatiele Local Municipality (EC144) was established on the 1st of March 2006. The Municipality went through major changes in terms of its demarcation and governance. Prior to 1 March 2006, Matatiele Local Municipality (KZ5a3) comprised the towns of Matatiele and Cedarville and fell within the Sisonke District of Kwazulu Natal.

From 1 March 2006, the Municipality was incorporated into the Alfred Nzo District of the Eastern Cape. The newly established Matatiele Local Municipality includes the towns of �Matatiele, Cedarville and the magisterial district of Maluti which formerly fell under the Umzimvubu Municipality and a rural district management area which formerly fell under the jurisdiction of the Alfred Nzo District Municipality.

Umzimvubu

Umzimvubu Local Municipality is one amongst four local municipalities that fall under the Alfred Nzo District Municipality located in the northern region of the Eastern Cape. It stretches to the border of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. It is formed by two towns, Mount Frere and Mount Ayliff, which are geographically located along the N2 route between Mthatha and Kokstad (http://www.localgovernment.co.za).

Mbizana

Mbizana Local Municipality is a local municipality in the Alfred Nzo District in the Wild Coast Region of the Eastern Cape.This municipality is made up of a main town and surrounding villages, located in the Eastern Cape on the R61 road connecting the KwaZulu-Natal south coastal boundary to the N2 highway (http://www.mbizana.gov.za).

Ntabankulu

Ntabankulu Local Municipality is an administrative area in the OR Tambo District of the Eastern Cape. Ntabankulu is an isiXhosa name meaning �great or big mountain�, as the municipal area is mountainous in character (http://www.wikipedia.org).

Letsemeng

�The Letsemeng Local Municipality is situated in the south-western part of the Free State province. Its geographical area is approximately 10 192 km�, which makes up 29,8% of the total Xhariep District Municipality geographical area. The five towns within LetsemengLocal Municipality are Koffiefontein, where the municipality head office is situated, Jacobsdal, Luckhoff, Oppermansgronde and Petrusburg. (www.letsemeng.gov.za)
