Merafong City
The Merafong City Local Municipality is a local municipality in the West Rand district of Gauteng. Its boundaries enclose some of the richest gold mines in the world. It is situated about 65 km from Johannesburg and is serviced by a number of major roads, including the N12 from Johannesburg to Cape Town and the N14.

Ekurhuleni
Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality occupies 1975km2of the land area in the province of Gauteng (Wikipedia). The nameEkurhuleni means place of peace in Tsonga (Wikipedia), and the municipality is one of three metropolitan municipalities within Gauteng. Ekurhuleni is also home to South Africas largest airport, OR Tambo International Airport, which is located in the Kempton Park area.
Ekurhuleni is highly urbanised, with 99,4% of the population living in urban settlements ranging from informal settlements to elite urban residential suburbs. A number of large urbanised townships, such as Katlehong and Tokoza, also occupy the landscape.

Umzumbe Municipality (KZ213) is a local municipality falling within the Ugu District Municipality (DC21). The municipality is one of the six local municipalities within the District. It is the largest municipality within the district in terms of the geographic area coverage. The municipal boundary runs along the coast for a short strip between Mthwalume and Hibberdene and then balloons out into the hinterland for approximately 60km.read more »
Mpofana
The Mpofana Municipality is strategically located along the national N3 highway and is approximately 70 km from Pietermaritzburg. The Mooi River sits at the heart of the Midlands Meander with interesting attractions such as the Linen Loft and Sharrow Weaving. Stretches of the river offer boating facilities whilst the upper reaches are a fly fisherman's paradise. Further upstream, the Mooi River Falls are a marvellous site to watch when the river is flooded.

Richmond
Richmond Municipality is situated south of Msunduzi, west of Mkhambathini and the Sisonke District in the south west. Richmond enjoys a competitive advantage in the field of agriculture that contributes to more than 50% of the gross geographic product and employment in the area. Historically, Richmond was one of the main destinations of the Bhambatha Rebellion and the Byrne Settlers. For tourists the local museum, the old court building and the prison are great attractions, while the Umkomaas River is a popular venue for white river rafting (uMgungundlovu District Municipality IDP 2012/13).read more »
