Fetakgomo is a local municipality (category B4) within the Sekhukhune District Municipality in Limpopo. The name is derived from a Sepedi idiom: Fetakgomo o sware motho, mafetakgomo ke moriri o a hloga, which implies putting people first. It borders Makuduthamaga Local Municipality in the south, Greater Tubatse Local Municipality in the east and Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality (Capricorn District Municipality) in the north and west. It is situated about 90 km from Polokwane. Geographically, it is the smallest of the five local municipalities in the district, constituting 8,3% (1 104,75) square kilometres of the districts 13 264 square kilometres.
