Ntambanana

The Ntambanana Municipality is located in Bhuchanana North, in the eastern part of the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast; it is set amongst rising and falling green hills that rise from coastal plains in the east to the end of the plateau in the west.

Mthonjaneni

In 1887, when the British government annexed Zululand, they established several magisterial districts. One district was Mthonjaneni, and the centre of the district was what is known today as Melmoth, named after Sir Melmoth Osborn, the first British Chief Native Commissioner for Zululand. Melmoth was essentially a 'gold rush town'.

At the turn of the century, gold was mined at the Melmoth Gold Fields, five kilometers out of town, but this was a short-term venture. Deserted diggings can still be found in some areas.

Greater Kokstad

The Greater Kokstad Municipality is one of the municipalities of the Sisonke District Municipality. It lies on the south-west tip of KwaZulu-Natal and is bordered by Matatiele Local Municipality on the west, Lesotho and part of the Eastern Cape on the north-west.The Greater Kokstad Municipality covers a land area of approximately 2�682 km� and shares its borders with KwaSani, Matatiele, Umziwabantu local municipalities, and the KwaZulu-Natal enclosed portion of the Eastern Cape. It is one of the five municipalities that make up the Sisonke District Municipality. Umzimkhulu

Umzimkhulu is a local municipality in KwaZulu-Natal. It is one of the family of five local municipalities (Ubuhlebezwe, Ingwe, KwaSani and Kokstad) of the Sisonke District Municipality. The district neighbours Ugu District in the east, Msunduzi in the north, Lesotho in the east and Eastern Cape in the south. Umzimkhulu is the most populated of the Sisonke municipalities. The municipal area consists of 20 wards, and traditional areas comprise 46% of the region. The total land area covered by Umzimkhulu is 2�436 km�

Emadlangeni

eMadlangeni Local Municipality falls within the Amajuba District Municipality in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. Predominantly rural, only 26% of the population live in the urban towns of Utrecht, Berouw, Waterval and Kingstown.
