City of Cape Town

The City of Cape Town as a municipal entity of today is just over ten years old. However, the Mother City has the oldest municipal structure in the country, going back to its first Council meeting held on 8 April 1652 � on a sailing ship anchored in Table Bay.

The Mother City is South Africa�s oldest city, with an area of 2�461 km2. It is the legislative capital of South Africa, the administrative and economic centre of the Western Cape Province.

Camdeboo

Camdeboo Local Municipality which incorporates the towns of Graaff-Reinet, Aberdeen, and Nieu-Bethesda is strategically situated as a portal to the mystical Karoo in an area renowned for its pristine natural environment, rich heritage, diverse peoples and cultures. The area (12,422km�) boasts a number of popular tourist attractions, beautiful landscapes and a healthy climate. Being situated in an arid area within the Cacadu district, Camdeboo faces many challenges, the biggest of which is water.The lack of sustainable and permanent water is probably the most inhibiting factor in the area�s development, as it restricts both agricultural and industrial activities. Ndlambe

The Ndlambe Local Municipality is a predominantly rural area with agriculture and tourism dominating the economy. It encompasses the towns of Kenton-on-sea, Boknes, Bathurst, Boesmansriviermond, Alexandra and Cannon Rocks. (http://www.cacadu.co.za/ndlambe)

Inkwanca

Inkwanca Local Municipality is an administrative area in the Chris Hani District of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Inkwanca is an isiXhosa name meaning cold. Emalahleni

Emalahleni Local Municipality is a category B municipality situated within the Chris Hani District Municipality of the Eastern Cape province. It has 17 wards which service the three main towns, namely Lady Frere, where the main offices are, Indwe and Dordrecht; and surrounding villages of Lady Frere, as the other two towns have urban locations and farms.read more »
