Kou-Kamma

Kou-Kamma Local Municipality is situated in the Cacadu District Municipality alongside the coast of the Indian Ocean in the south-western area of the Eastern Cape province. Kou-Kamma spans 35�575 km2 and neighbours the Baviaans Local Municipality in the north, and the Kouga Local Municipality to the east.

Amahlathi

Amahlathi Local Municipality is an administrative area in the Amatole District of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Amahlati is an isiXhosa name that means �a place where many trees are grouped together, a forest�. �Forests are a key feature of the area. Source: (www.amahlathi.gov.za).

Nkonkobe

Nkonkobe Local Municipality was established in 2000 and is dominated by the settlements of Amagqunukwebe, Amajingqi and Fort Beaufort. 60% of the population live in rural areas, and the majority of the urban population lives in the towns of Fort Beaufort and Alice.

Tsolwana

Tsolwana Local Municipality has two main urban centres, Tarkastad and Hofmeyr, and about 11 rural villages scattered within the former Ntabethemba area, including Thornhill, Mitford, Rocklands, Tendergate, etc. �Tsolwana covers an area of approximately 6 000 square km in extent with a density of about six people per square km. The extent of local area of jurisdiction translates to 4,2% of the district as a whole.

Intsika Yethu

The Intsika Yethu Local Municipality is a category B municipality. It is one of the eight local municipalities found within the Chris Hani District Municipality.
