Report-04-04-01 - Final Supply and Use Tables: An input-output framework (SUT)
This report contains the Final Supply and Use Tables (SUT) according to the recommendations of the 1993 System of National Accounts which Stats SA has been implementing since 1995.The tables are closely linked to the estimates for the gross domestic product (GDP). This report contains the final supply and use tables (SU-tables) for 2005. In accordance with international best practice, an update of the base year has to take place regularly every five years. The 1993 SNA requires countries to compile supply and use tables (SU-tables) as they form an integral part of the 1993 SNA. According to the 1993 SNA, the annual estimates of gross value added and its components, as well as output, intermediate consumption expenditure, final consumption expenditure and GDP should all have their origin in annual SU-tables. Molemole
Molemole Local Municipality is located about 60 km north of Polokwane within the Capricorn District. It is in the town of Mogwadi, formerly known as Dendron. The municipality is bordered to the south by Polokwane Municipality, to the north-west by Blouberg Municipality, to the south-east by Greater Letaba Municipality in Mopani District, and to the north by Makhado Municipality in Vhembe District. One national road, the N1, crosses through the municipal area linking Molemole with Zimbabwe to the north, whereas the provincial road P94/1 (R521) passes through the municipality and links Molemole to Botswana to the west. It is the smallest municipality in the Capricorn District with 14 wards. The municipality is named after one of the mountains surrounding the area.

Mookgophong is a charming and thriving town in the Waterberg encircled by peaceful nature reserves and steaming hot springs. The Bushveld climate and attractive resorts in the area attract holidaymakers all year round.
Mookgophong (previously known as Naboomspruit) dates back to the late 1800's when it was a rest station for the Pretoria-Polokwane mail coach. Although the little village eventually developed around the railway station on the farm Naboomspruit, Mookgophong owes its growth largely to the discovery of minerals in the area in the early 1900's. The discovery of tin led to a "tin rush" in 1910 and turned this little village into a boom town of restaurants, cabarets and trading stores. The discovery of platinum in later years added to the town’s expansion.The town is named after the euphorbia tree. The new name Mookgophong has the same meaning as the original Naboomspruit.read more »
Modimolle
Modimolle Local Municipality is named after the Modimolle mountain. The word Modimolle literally means "the forefather's spirit has eaten" (Modimo o lle). According to tradition, it often happened that someone would climb the mountain, only to disappear without a trace.
The original name was Nylstroom, named so after the Voortrekkers had come across the north-flowing river and mistook it for the Nile River in Egypt. The fact that there is a pyramid-shaped hill close by only served to strengthen this misconception.
Modimolle, Limpopo, South Africa is a charming town with an expanding business sector which serves as the commercial centre of the Waterberg. Nylstroom (Modimolle) is famous for its export of grapes and other soft fruits like peaches and watermelons.

South Africa’s famous national route, N1, runs through the municipality and the town’s main Central Business District (CBD) area is only 10km away from this major route. Belabelais 174 km from the provincial capital Polokwane.

Dipaleseng Local Municipality is situated in the southern part of the GertSibande District Municipality. Balfour is located in the heart of world-renowned coalfields and the Goldfields belt. This modern and predominantly industrial town is located in close proximity (80km) to the nationally well-known industrial areas of Johannesburg. The Balfour/Siyathemba urban area is 340km from Nelspruit and 80km from Johannesburg. The internationally known abattoir, the “biggest abattoir in Africa”, is found in Dipaleseng (Balfour town), with a vast number of by-products including inorganic chemicals, fertilizers, etc.being manufactured in the area.
