MEC Jacob Mamabolo and Statistician-General Dr Pali Lehohla collaborate on the use of statistical data to advance Gauteng Public Infrastructure Planning and Monitoring

 

The Statistician-General of South Africa Dr Pali Lehohla, together with MEC Jacob Mamabolo, will brief the media on the planned collaboration between Stats SA and Gauteng government on monitoring indicators that will assist the province to provide required infrastructure for service delivery. Stats SA will highlight its planning and monitoring tools and also demonstrate how available data can be used to assess the impact of infrastructure projects in Gauteng.

 

The workshop will unpack the performance information requirements in terms of the public infrastructure delivery and management processes in Gauteng Province. These processes include the production, reporting, distribution and storage of performance information. The collaboration seeks to assist the province to track the impact of infrastructure development programmes on communities, including jobs and economic participation.
