ISIbalo Conferences of Africa Young Statisticians
| In 2008, Stats SA hosted the 1st Conference of Young Statisticians in Pretoria. This began what would become a focused programme on building statistical capacity and leadership towards Africa’s Agenda 2063.
The Conference hosted biennially has drawn young statisticians from universities, national statistical offices, public and private sectors and NGOs in up to 32 African countries – the largest and most progressive programme globally on young statisticians.
Previous conferences were held in 2010, 2012 and 2014. This year Stats SA hosts the 5th ISIbalo Conference of Africa Young Statisticians. |
