Hearing the voice of ordinary citizens

Hearing the voice of ordinary citizens

Monday 12 October marks the start of the Citizen Satisfaction Survey in KwaZulu-Natal. The Survey is a joint effort between the KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier and Statistics South Africa and will gauge the level of service delivery satisfaction.

Just over 200 fieldworkers armed with tablets will start visiting the over 20 000 selected household, asking questions about their satisfaction with services delivered by government ranging from housing and sanitation to law enforcement and transport in the province.

The survey also marks a new era for Stats SA as we launch a paperless survey for the first time. This will also shorten the turnaround time on the processing and release of data.

The findings of the Citizen Satisfaction Survey will province the KwaZulu-Natal government with the information it needs to assess the current status of service delivery in the province and allow the Office of the Premier to make informed decisions towards making people’s lives better.

Fieldworkers will be visiting households from 12 October to 20 November 2015.
