IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH DATA ECOSYSTEMS

CAR HIRE REQUIRED FOR CENSUS 2022 PROJECT

Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) will be conducting the population Census between February and July 2022. Approximately one thousand (1000) vehicles will be required at this stage for the project. We are therefore requesting all suppliers who have the fleet of cars and are interested to participate to provide the following information to the email indicated below.

1. Proof of company registration in the car rental industry
2. Proof of fleet and number of vehicles readily available for hire
3. If you are sub-contracting, proof of such agreement must already be in place
4. Be registered in the Central Supplier database for government
5. Provide Valid Tax clearance certificate
6. Provide BBB-EE certificate
7. Supply a quotation for 500 sedan/hatchback and 500 double cabs or Single cabs 4×2 with comprehensive insurance, fuel cards and live tracker.

The following preference point systems are applicable to this RFQ:

• the 80/20 system for requirements with a Rand value of up to R50 000 000 (all applicable taxes included); and
• the 90/10 system for requirements with a Rand value above R50 000 000 (all applicable taxes included).

–  Either the 80/20 or 90/10 preference point system will be applicable to this RFQ.

Failure to submit all of the above documentations by the closing date and time will render you  disqualified.

All interested service providers in the car rental industry must send the above information’s to this email Quotations@statssa.gov.za   on or before Monday, 31 January 2022 by 16H00.
