Statistician-General to release the ‘Poverty Trends in South Africa’ report

The Statistician-General of South Africa, Dr Pali Lehohla, will release the Poverty Trends in South Africa: An examination of absolute poverty between 2006 and 2015 report at a media briefing to be held in Pretoria on Tuesday, 22 August 2017 at 10:00 (with a live video link to Imbizo Media Centre in Parliament).  The report will provide statistics on the current levels of poverty in the country, and how these have changed over time (2006-2015).
