All Saints Mission was established in 1860-61 by Reverend John Gordon and was thus named because the land on which it was established was previously assigned to Archdeacon HT Waters by Chief Faku on All Saints Day, 1 November 1859. (GPS coordinates: 31.6617 S, 28.0547 E).
