The report discusses the readiness of households, during COVID-19, for alternative or remote learning options available to learners from radio, television based instructions to internet-based instructions. These options required access to the necessary technology or tools by households to benefit from these methods of learning. The report shows the strong urban-rural digital divide as well as the inequality by income in access to internet. The report also shows not all learners had access to remote learning options. The effect of the lockdown had high impact on the number of out-of-school children in 2020.
