Key findings: Report-50-11-01 - Building Statistics, 2018
The value of
buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual
surveys decreased by 0,8% from R83 385,2 million in 2017 to R82 733,4
million in 2018. A decrease was reported for non-residential buildings (-27,4%
or -R6 866,9 million). Increases were reported for residential buildings
(12,6% or R5 672,9 million) and additions and alterations (4,0% or R542,2
million).
