Key findings: Report-50-11-01 - Building Statistics, 2017
The value of
buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual
surveys increased by 19,2% from R69 974,2 million in 2016 to
R83 385,2 million in 2017. Increases were reported for non-residential
buildings (44,6% or R7 724,6 million), residential buildings (11,3% or
R4 554,3 million) and additions and alterations (9,2% or R1 132,0
million).
