Key findings: Report-50-11-01 - Building Statistics, 2022
The value of
buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual
surveys increased by 17,8% from R66 668,5 million in 2021 to
R78 506,7 million in 2022. Increases were reported for additions and
alterations (20,4% or R3 033,1 million), residential buildings (17,4% or
R6 463,8 million) and non-residential buildings (16,1% or R2 341,3
million).
