Key findings: Report-50-11-01 - Building Statistics, 2021
The value of
buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual
surveys increased by 19,3% from R55 856,7 million in 2020 to
R66 626,6 million in 2021. Increases were reported for additions and
alterations (27,0% or R3 158,5 million), residential buildings (25,7% or
R7 593,9 million) and non-residential buildings (0,1% or R17,6 million).
