The value of buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual surveys decreased by 42,4% from R97 240,8 million in 2019 to R56 034,4 million in 2020. Decreases were reported for residential buildings (-49,4% or -R28 855,7 million), non-residential buildings (-39,4% or -R9 550,6 million) and additions and alterations (-19,3% or -R2 800,1 million).
