Building Statistics, 2016
The value of buildings reported as completed to municipalities in the monthly and annual surveys increased by 6,3% from R65 850,9 million in 2015 to R69 974,2 million in 2016. Increases were reported for additions and alterations
(12,2% or R1 340,6 million), residential buildings (5,4% or R2 083,2 million) and non-residential buildings
(4,2% or R699,6 million).
