The amount has increased from the R4 498 million cash deficit in 2009/2010.
     
Major Influences

The major contributors to the R4 365 million cash surplus of net change in the stock of cash of provincial government for the fiscal year 2010/2011 are the cash receipts from operating activities, R335 344 million, (2009/2010: R300 702 million); cash payments for operating activities, R306 001 million, (2009/2010: R277 578 million); purchases of non-financial assets, R25 156 million, (2009/2010: R27 714 million); and sales of non-financial assets, R178 million, (2009/2010: R92 million).
