The total amount of consumer units receiving basic water services for the year ended June 2006 increased by 10,4% from 8 938 895 in 2005 to 9 870 253 in 2006.
The total amount of consumer units that benefitted from the free basic electricity policy for the year ended June 2006 is 7 218 698 and 3 357 435 had access to free basic electricity.
