Acid test ratio
Municipalities throughout the country recorded the acid test ratio of 1,1:1 and 1,0:1 during the financial years ended June 2009 and June 2010 respectively.
Current ratio
The current ratio of municipalities was 1,2:1 in 2009 financial year and dropped to 1,1:1 in 2010 financial year.
Municipal revenue stream
For 2010 financial year, `Service charges` (income from Water, Electricity and gas sales, as well as Refuse removal and Sewerage and sanitation charges) were the largest contributor to municipal revenue (40,8%), followed by `Grants and subsidies received` (33,0%), then
