Accounts receivable turnover (in days)
The overall accounts receivable turnover throughout the country was 151 days. Northern Cape was the highest with 354 days. Mpumalanga reflected the lowest turnover with 119 days.
Accounts payable turnover (in days)
The overall accounts payable turnover was 184 days for the whole country. Gauteng was the highest with 237 days. North West reflected the lowest with 69 days.
Levies
There was an increase of 13,4% in levies collected by the Districts and Metropolitan municipalities between 2004 and 2005 financial years. Northern Cape reflected the highest increase of 17,5% while North West  reflected the lowest increase of 5,1%.
Assessment rates
Assessment rates showed an increase of 16,7% between the 2004 and 2005 financial years. Mpumalanga reflected the highest increase with 24,6%. Limpopo was the lowest with 9,9%.
Water
The overall increase in the purchases and the sale of water in the whole country was 9,7% and 14,2% respectively. For the purchases of water, Western Cape was the highest with 18,0% whereas Mpumalanga reflected the lowest increase of 4,8%. For sales of water, Free State reflected the highest increase of 18,7% while Northern Cape had the lowest increase of 9,1%.
Electricity
The overall increase in the purchases and the sale of electricity in the whole country was 6,5% and 8,2% respectively. For the purchases of electricity, Limpopo was the highest with 18,0% whereas Eastern Cape reflected the lowest increase of 4,4%. For sales of electricity, Limpopo reflected the highest increase of 11,7% while Mpumalanga had the lowest increase of 2,1%.
