Net change in the stock of cash from the universities, universities of technology and a technikon amounted to an increase of R1 477 million for the 2005 financial year.

The major contributors to the amount of R1 477 million of net change in the stock of cash of universities, universities of technology and a technikon are the cash receipts from operating activities (R23 532 million); cash payments for operating activities (R18 236 million); purchases of non-financial assets (R1 395 million); sales of non-financial assets (R67 million). Net acquisition of financial assets other than cash (R2 309 million) and net incurrence of liabilities (R183 million).
