Measured
in real terms (constant 2019 prices), total income generated by the food and
beverages industry increased by 1,0% in November 2023 compared with November
2022. Bar sales recorded the highest annual growth rate (7,6%).

In November 2023, the main
contributor to the 1,0% year-on-year increase was restaurants and coffee shops
(2,5% and contributing 1,3 percentage points).
Food and
beverages income at constant 2019 prices for the latest three months by type of
enterprise
Total income increased by 1,8%
in the three months ended November 2023 compared with the three months ended
November 2022. The main contributor to this
increase was restaurants and coffee shops (2,1% and contributing 1,1 percentage
points).
Seasonally
adjusted income for the food and beverages industry decreased by 2,5% in November
2023 compared with October 2023. This followed month-on-month changes of -2,9%
in October 2023 and 5,1% in September 2023.
