Year-on-year percentage change in food and beverages income at constant 2015 prices by type of income
Measured in real terms (constant 2015 prices), total income generated by the food and beverages industry increased by 0,9% in September 2018 compared with September 2017. Food sales grew by 1,5%.

In September 2018, takeaway and fast-food outlets grew by 3,9% (contributing 1,4 percentage points) year-on-year.
Food and beverages income at constant 2015 prices for the latest three months by type of enterprise
Total income increased by 1,3% in the third quarter of 2018 compared with the third quarter of 2017. The positive contributor to this increase was takeaway and fast-food outlets (5,5% and contributing 2,0 percentage points).
Seasonally adjusted food and beverages income increased by 0,4% month-on-month in September 2018. Restaurants and coffee shops grew by 1,8% while takeaway and fast-food outlets declined by 1,3%.
