Total income from food and beverages industry for December 2010
The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for December 2010 was 10,5% higher than December 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (10,0% and contributing 8,8 percentage points).
The annual positive growth rate of 10,5% in total income for December 2010 was driven by restaurants and coffee shops (11,7% and contributing 6,1 percentage points), takeaway and fast-food outlets (10,0% and contributing 2,9 percentage points) and caterers (12,0% and contributing 1,6 percentage points).
Total income from food and beverages industry for the fourth quarter of 2010
The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for the fourth quarter of 2010 increased by 9,6% compared with the fourth quarter of 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (8,8% and contributing 7,7 percentage points).
The year-on-year increase of 9,6% in total income for the fourth quarter of 2010 was driven by restaurants and coffee shops (8,5% and contributing 4,4 percentage points), takeaway and fast-food outlets (10,4% and contributing 2,9 percentage points) and caterers (14,3% and contributing 2,2 percentage points).
