Total income from food and beverages industry for November 2010

The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for November 2010 was 9,4% higher than November 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (8,7% and contributing 7,7 percentage points).

The annual positive growth rate of 9,4% in total income for November 2010 was driven by restaurants and coffee shops (6,9% and contributing 3,6 percentage points), caterers (19,9% and contributing 3,1 percentage points) and takeaway and fast-food outlets (9,8% and contributing 2,6 percentage points).

The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for the three months ended November 2010 increased by 9,7% compared with the three months ended November 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (8,9% and contributing 7,9 percentage points).
