The annual positive growth rate of 7,0% in total income for August 2010 was driven largely by caterers (21,8% and contributing 3,3 percentage points), restaurants and coffee shops (4,0% and contributing 2,1 percentage points) and takeaway and fast-food outlets (5,0% and contributing 1,4 percentage points).
The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for August 2010 was 7,0% higher than August 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (5,7% and contributing 5,1 percentage points).

The year-on-year increase of 10,0% in total income for the three months ended August 2010 was driven largely by restaurants and coffee shops (10,2% and contributing 5,3 percentage points), caterers (15,3% and contributing 2,4 percentage points) and takeaway and fast-food outlets (7,5% and contributing 2,0 percentage points).
The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for the three months ended August 2010 increased by 10,0% compared with the three months ended August 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (8,2% and contributing 7,4 percentage points).
