The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for June 2010 was 10,4% higher than June 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (9,0% and contributing 7,9 percentage points), followed by bar sales (20,5% and contributing 2,1 percentage points) and other income (28,5% and contributing 0,4 of a percentage point).

The annual positive growth rate of 10,4% in total income for June 2010 was driven mainly by restaurants and coffee shops (14,4% and contributing 7,8 percentage points).

The total income generated by the food and beverages industry for the second quarter of 2010 increased by 7,6% compared with the second quarter of 2009. The main contributor to this increase was food sales (6,1% and contributing 5,3 percentage points), followed by bar sales (15,8% and contributing 1,7 percentage points) and other income (43,0% and contributing 0,6 of a percentage point).

The year-on-year increase of 7,6% in total income for the second quarter of 2010 was due mainly to the increase reported for restaurants and coffee shops (9,0% and contributing 4,9 percentage points), followed by takeaway and fast-food outlets (5,2% and contributing 1,3 percentage points) and caterers (5,7% and contributing 1,0 percentage point).
