Measured in nominal terms (current prices), total income for the tourist accommodation industry increased by 7,6% in March 2015 compared with March 2014.

Income from accommodation increased by 8,8% year-on-year in March 2015, the result of a 0,6% decrease in the number of stay unit nights sold and a 9,5% increase in the average income per stay unit night sold..

In March 2015, the types of accommodation that recorded the highest year-on-year growth rates in income from accommodation were caravan parks and camping sites (18,5%) and hotels (11,2%).

The main contributor to the 8,8% year-on-year increase in income from accommodation in March 2015 was hotels (contributing 7,1 percentage points).

Income from accommodation increased by 3,7% in the first quarter of 2015 compared with the first quarter of 2014. The main contributor to this increase was hotels (6,1% and contributing 3,8 percentage points).
