Total income for the accommodation industry
Total income for the accommodation industry increased by 12,3% in the three months ended October 2012 compared with the three months ended October 2011. Total income for the accommodation industry increased by 9,1% year-on-year in October 2012.
Income from accommodation
Income from accommodation increased by 13,7% in the three months ended October 2012 compared with the three months ended October 2011. This increase was due to an increase of 6,6% in the number of stay unit nights sold and an increase of 6,7% in the average income per stay unit night sold. Income from accommodation increased by 14,2% year-on-year in October 2012.
Stay units available
The number of stay units available increased by 1,8% in the three months ended October 2012 compared with the three months ended October 2011. The number of stay units available increased by 1,7%
year-on-year in October 2012.
Stay unit nights sold
The number of stay unit nights sold increased by 6,6% in the three months ended October 2012 compared with the three months ended October 2011. The number of stay unit nights sold increased by 4,2%
year-on-year in October 2012.
