Total income for the accommodation industry
Total income for the accommodation industry increased by 14,3% in the three months ended August 2012 compared with the three months ended August 2011. Total income for the accommodation industry increased by 19,3% year-on-year in August 2012.
Income from accommodation
Income from accommodation increased by 13,4% in the three months ended August 2012 compared with the three months ended August 2011. This increase was due to an increase of 10,5% in the number of stay unit nights sold and an increase of 2,6% in the average income per stay unit night sold. Income from accommodation increased by 14,1% year-on-year in August 2012.
Stay units available
The number of stay units available increased by 1,9% in the three months ended August 2012 compared with the three months ended August 2011. The number of stay units available increased by 1,6% year-on-year in August 2012.
Stay unit nights sold
The number of stay unit nights sold increased by 10,5% in the three months ended August 2012 compared with the three months ended August 2011. The number of stay unit nights sold increased by 10,2% year-on-year in August 2012.
