Actual motor trade sales estimates

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), motor trade sales increased by 6,1% year-on-year in June 2014. The highest annual growth rates were recorded for fuel sales (12,7%) and sales of accessories (7,1%).

Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales increased by 2,1% in June 2014 compared with May 2014. This followed month-on-month changes of -0,6% in May 2014 and 0,6% in April 2014.

Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales increased by 0,7% in the second quarter of 2014 compared with the previous quarter.

Motor trade sales increased by 0,8% in the second quarter of 2014 compared with the second quarter of 2013. The main contributor to this increase was fuel sales (8,3% and contributing 2,2 percentage points). New vehicle sales (-5,0% and contributing -1,4 percentage points) was a significant negative contributor.
