Retail trade sales show an increase in real terms

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the three months up to July 2007, showed an increase of 6,8% compared with the three months up to July 2006. Similarly, retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the first seven months of 2007, increased by 8,0% compared with the first seven months of 2006. This is lower than the 9,5% growth for the first seven months of 2006 compared with the corresponding seven months of 2005.

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for July 2007, showed an increase of 4,9% compared with July 2006. 

Retail trade sales at current prices, for the three months up to July 2007, increased by 13,9% compared with the three months up to July 2006. Furthermore, retail trade sales at current prices, for July 2007, increased by 11,8% compared with July 2006. The corresponding growth rate for July 2006 was 16,4%.
