Key findings: P6242.1 - Retail trade sales, May 2007

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the three months up to May 2007, showed an increase of 8,5% compared with the three months up to May 2006. Similarly, retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for May 2007, showed an increase of 9,0% compared with May 2006, which is lower than the corresponding growth rate for May 2006 (10,2%).

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the first five months of 2007, increased by 8,6% compared with the first five months of 2006. This is lower than the 9,7% growth for the first five months of 2006 compared with the corresponding five months of 2005.

Retail trade sales at current prices, for the three months up to May 2007, increased by 15,2% compared with the three months up to May 2006. Furthermore, retail trade sales at current prices, for May 2007, increased by 16,2% compared with May 2006. The corresponding growth rate for May 2006 was 15,5%.
