Retail trade sales show an increase in real terms

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the three months up to January 2007, showed an increase of 9,1% compared with the three months up to January 2006. Similarly, retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for January 2007, increased by 9,4% compared with January 2006. The corresponding growth rate for January 2006 was 6,9%.

Retail trade sales at current prices, for the three months up to January 2007, increased by 14,8% compared with the three months up to January 2006. Furthermore, retail trade sales at current prices, for January 2007, increased by 15,6% compared with January 2006. The corresponding growth rate for January 2006 was 12,0%.
