Key findings: P6242.1 - Retail trade sales, November 2006

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the three months up to November 2006, showed an increase of 11,5% compared with the three months up to November 2005. This is the largest increase for the three months up to November of each year since 2000.

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for November 2006, increased by 12,3% compared with November 2005. Similarly, retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the first eleven months of 2006, increased by 10,0% compared with the first eleven months of 2005. The 10,0% growth is the highest growth ever reported for the first eleven months of each year since 2000.

Retail trade sales at current prices, for the three months up to November 2006, increased by 17,3% compared with the three months up to November 2005. Furthermore, retail trade sales at current prices, for November 2006, increased by 18,0% compared with November 2005. The corresponding growth rate for November 2005 compared with November 2004 was 11,6%.
