Key findings: P6242.1 - Retail trade sales, July 2006

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the three months up to July 2006, showed an increase of 9,5% compared with the three months up to July 2005. Similarly, retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for July 2006, increased by 9,7% compared with July 2005.

Retail trade sales at constant (2000) prices, for the period January to July 2006, increased by 9,5% compared with January to July 2005.

Retail trade sales at current prices, for the three months up to July 2006, increased by 15,8% compared with the three months up to July 2005. Furthermore, retail trade sales at current prices, for July 2006, increased by 16,5% compared with July 2005, the highest ever reported growth since 2000. The corresponding growth rate for July 2005 compared with July 2004 was 7,8%.
