Sales at constant 2015 prices: results for October 2019

 

Measured in real terms (constant 2015 prices), wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,5% in October 2019 compared with October 2018.

 

Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 0,7% in October 2019 compared with September 2019. This followed month-on-month changes of 1,9% in September 2019 and -7,0% in August 2019.

                                                                                                 

In the three months ended October 2019, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,4% compared with the previous three months.


Sales at current prices: results for October 2019

 

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 0,5% in October 2019 compared with October 2018. The main contributor to this increase was dealers in food, beverages and tobacco (9,9% and contributing 1,4 percentage points).

 

Wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,2% in the three months ended October 2019 compared with the three months ended October 2018. The main contributor to this decrease was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (-8,6% and contributing -2,2 percentage points).
