Sales at constant 2015 prices: results for June 2018
Measured in real terms (constant 2015 prices), wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,5% in June 2018 compared with June 2017.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 1,4% in June 2018 compared with May 2018. This followed month-on-month changes of 1,1% in May 2018 and -3,0% in April 2018.
In the second quarter of 2018, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 0,1% compared with the previous quarter.
Sales at current prices: results for June 2018
Measured in nominal terms (current prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 6,4% in June 2018 compared with June 2017. The main contributors to this increase were dealers in:
- solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (22,6% and contributing 4,3 percentage points); and
- precious stones, jewellery and silverware (71,4% and contributing 1,8 percentage points).
Wholesale trade sales increased by 4,9% in the second quarter of 2018 compared with the second quarter of 2017. The main contributor to this increase was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (18,0% and contributing 3,5 percentage points).
