Sales at constant 2015 prices: results for March 2018
Measured in real terms (constant 2015 prices), wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,7% in March 2018 compared with March 2017.
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 2,9% in March 2018 compared with February 2018. This followed month-on-month changes of 0,5% in February 2018 and -1,4% in January 2018.
In the first quarter of 2018, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales decreased by 0,9% compared with the fourth quarter of 2017.
Sales at current prices: results for March 2018
Measured in nominal terms (current prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 2,8% in March 2018 compared with March 2017. The main contributor to this increase was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (19,1% and contributing 3,6 percentage points).
Wholesale trade sales increased by 4,2% in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the first quarter of 2017. The main contributor to this increase was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (13,6% and contributing 2,6 percentage points).
