Sales at constant 2012 prices: results for September 2015

Measured in real terms (constant 2012 prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 1,0% year-on-year in September 2015. Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 1,7% in September 2015 compared with August 2015. This followed month-on-month changes of -0,7% in August 2015 and 1,1% in July 2015.
 
Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales increased by 2,0% in the third quarter of 2015 compared with the previous quarter.


Sales at current prices: results for September 2015

Measured in nominal terms (current prices), wholesale trade sales increased by 0,7% in September 2015 compared with September 2014. The major positive contributor to this increase was dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies (9,1% and contributing 1,5 percentage points). A significant negative contributor was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (-9,8% and contributing -2,0 percentage points).

Wholesale trade sales increased by 2,4% in the third quarter of 2015 compared with the third quarter of 2014. The major contributor to this increase was dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies (11,2% and contributing 1,7 percentage points).
