Wholesale trade sales in real terms

Wholesale trade sales, at constant 2000 prices, for the three months ended October 2011 increased by 8,9% compared with the three months ended October 2010, while sales for the same period in 2010 increased by 4,5%. Seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales for the three months ended October 2011 increased by 3,5% compared with the three months ended July 2011.

Wholesale trade sales in nominal terms

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the three months ended October 2011 increased by 18,3% compared with the three months ended October 2010. The major contributor to this increase was dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (31,9% and contributing 6,2 percentage points), followed by dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies (18,3% and contributing 3,0 percentage points) and dealers in agricultural raw materials and livestock (48,0% and contributing 2,2 percentage points).

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for October 2011 increased by 19,1% compared with October 2010, while sales for the corresponding period in 2010 increased by 6,0%.
