Wholesale trade sales increase in real terms

Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ending November 2007 increased by 5,5% compared with the three months ending November 2006. Similarly, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the three months ending November 2007 increased by 1,5% compared with the previous three months.

Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the first eleven months of 2007 increased by 6,5% compared with the first eleven months of 2006. Furthermore, wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for November 2007 increased by 5,4% compared with November 2006. The 5,4% increase remained unchanged compared with the growth for the corresponding period in 2006.

Wholesale trade sales increase at current prices

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the three months ending November 2007 increased by 15,3% compared with the three months ending November 2006. The 15,3% increase is lower than the 15,8% growth in November 2006. The major contributors to the 15,3% growth were dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies (+3,5 percentage points), dealers in food, beverages and tobacco (+2,4 percentage points) and dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and related products  (+2,3 percentage points).

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the first eleven months of 2007 increased by 17,6% compared with the first eleven months of 2006. Similarly, wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for November 2007 increased by 14,9% compared with November 2006.
