Wholesale trade sales increase in real terms

Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the second quarter of 2007 increased by 6,0% compared with the second quarter of 2006. However, seasonally adjusted wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for second quarter of 2007 decreased by 1,7% compared with the first quarter of 2007. 

Wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for the first six months of 2007 increased by 7,7% compared with the first six months of 2006. Furthermore, wholesale trade sales, at constant (2000) prices, for June 2007 increased by 3,5% compared with June 2006. This increase is lower than the 5,3% growth reported for the corresponding period in June 2006.

Wholesale trade sales increase at current prices

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the second quarter of 2007 increased by 18,6% compared with the second quarter of 2006. The major contributors to the 18,6% were dealers in machinery, equipment and supplies contributing (+3,2 percentage points) dealers in food, beverages and tobacco (+2,8 percentage points)

Wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for the first six months of 2007 increased by 19,8% compared with the first six months of 2006. Similarly, wholesale trade sales, at current prices, for June 2007 increased by 3,5% compared with June 2006.
