Key findings: P5041.1 - Selected building statistics of the private sector as reported by local government institutions, February 2016
The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 21,0% (R2 124,9 million) year-on-year during January to February 2016. Non-residential buildings rose by 194,3% (R2 700,1 million). There were large year-on-year increases in plans passed for shopping space in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 8,5% (R472,9 million) year-on-year during January to February 2016.
