Key findings: P5041.1 - Selected building statistics of the private sector as reported by local government institutions, December 2015
The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) decreased by 0,2% (-R169,9 million) year-on-year in 2015. Non-residential buildings fell by 8,8% (-R1 733,3 million) and residential buildings rose by 3,7% (R1 374,9 million).
The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 1,0% (R457,8 million) year-on-year in 2015. Residential buildings rose by 9,3% (R2 133,0 million) and non-residential buildings fell by 11,3% (-R1 516,5 million).
