Key findings: P5041.1 - Selected building statistics of the private sector as reported by local government institutions, June 2015
The real value of recorded building plans passed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 11,5% (R4 035,8 million) year-on-year during January to June 2015. Increases were recorded for non-residential buildings (16,4% or R1 502,6 million), residential buildings (11,2% or R1 889,4 million) and additions and alterations (7,1% or R643,8 million).
The real value of buildings reported as completed (at constant 2010 prices) increased by 4,5% (R870,7 million) year-on-year during January to June 2015. Residential buildings rose by 15,5% (R1 568,5 million) and non-residential buildings fell by 13,7% (-R709,8 million).
